HospiceCare ( www.hospicecareinc.com )- The $9.1 million, 51,000 square foot HospiceCare Center located 5395 East Cheryl Parkway was begun in March of 1999 and completed in May of 2000.  The architect for the structure was Zimmerman Design, and J.H. Findorff and Son, Inc. was contracted to build the center.  The building sits on a 10 acre wooded site graced by extensive gardens, and a pond.  In addition to the HospiceCare facilities the building also houses rooms dedicated for community use.

Other facility amenities include:

• a homelike setting to patients whose end-of-life care cannot be provided at home (18 patient rooms, children's play areas, kitchen, library, dining room, chapel, and family rooms)
• offices for HospiceCare staff who care for patients in their own homes
• space for grief counseling
• a resource center for end-of-life education.

HospiceCare currently employs about 155 professional staff as well as a volunteer base of 450 people, half of whom work directly in people's homes.
